Extension Care Tips and Questions About Our Hair
Care Tips
- Always co-wash your bundles with your conditioner of choice (sulfate-free formulations for optimal longevity are recommended) before your first install.
- Rinse the hair in warm water.
- Saturate the hair in your conditioner for a few minutes, ensuring the product is evenly distributed from the top of the weft to the ends. You can do this using a wide-toothed comb. Be careful not to rub the hair, as it may compromise the cuticles.
- Rinse thoroughly after a few minutes, then start at the ends and work your way up to the weft to detangle.
- Finish off by allowing them to air dry to prepare for your appointment.
- We recommend full washing and conditioning 1-2x per week (this is dependent on the level of exercise/activity you perform and build-up on the hair), but the most important thing is to make regular visits to your salon to keep your bundles and natural hair and scalp healthy
- Styling products are acceptable as needed. We recommend using small amounts to minimize build-up of product on the hair. Avoid formulas with harsh chemicals, dyes, sulfates. Gentle products will maintain the longevity of your purchase.
- While the hair comes in natural brown (#1B) color, the hair can be dyed up to #613 and styled with heat products (flat irons, curling irons, wavers, and the like). As this is human hair, keep consistent with how you would maintain your natural hair and avoid extreme temperatures/excessive heat for best results.
How Many Bundles Do I Need?
This is really dependent on how you want your finished look. For accentuation, we recommend 2 bundles. For a full head install, regardless of whether you will have some leave out, or utilize a closure, we recommend 3 bundles. If you desire more fullness, feel free to add a bundle. Each bundle is approximately 4oz.
